This Painting came into being from several places. A gallery asked the artists to paint from a theme of flight. That brought this in which is a theme I often paint. That buoyancy of floating, the weightlessness has always appealed to me. Usually I paint ladys in white dresses. This one is in black, the deep feminine.
Also, I read Lane von Herzens’ book ” The Unfastened Heart” and the theme of weightlessness attracted my attention so I painted several, this being one, from this inspiration.
